World out there, along the river Spiti is the wonderland known as Spiti Valley in Himachal which is composed by the God with only gorgeous places and breathtaking stunning landscapes. The mountains here are eroded with no or less vegetation and the snow-capped peaks against bluer than bluest sky makes region a world of contrasts, highlights and shadows. A world where tones of grey, brown, gold, black, white, orange, green and blue dance and interplay in endless variations. But, truly, the simplicity of this world of lamas puts forth a classy perspective which can be depicted only through monochrome, black & white in my case.
First time, I tried landscape photography from Naggar when I captured few shots of Kullu valley in black & white. That made me realized that gigantic Himalaya and its surrounding when captured through monochromatic filter look different. In Spiti Valley where mountain, river, clouds and roads are the subjects, forms and texture of these subjects are more interesting than the colors and hence lets explore the vibrancy of Spiti Valley in Black & White.
The Spiti looks like a real Abode of Gods. Every natural things in this valley has a certain degree of spirituality in it that remains with you forever, even when you are back & busy in your mundane life. This trip and heavenly landscapes have left an eternal impression on my pysch and every minute since i am back i could only feel better about myself.

Road Trip to Spiti Valley is one of my true accomplishment and now i aim high to travel across land of high passes i.e. Ladakh which is more like a dream for any traveler specially road tripper like me. I desire to cross highest motorable pass and reach cold desert of Nubra and then visit legendary lake of Pangong. Itineraries are being chalked out by referring online sources on Leh Ladakh Tourism and places are being pinned down. I am certain to comeback with many more amazing shots and intriguing stories with an aim to motivate all living souls to hit the road to trans-himlayan region of Spiti and Ladakh.

All very impressive pictures. I especially like the one titled “where Pin Valley meets with Spiti Valley” and the one with the reflection on the lake. Keep up the good work!

LOVE the Himalayan scenery – we did the Annapurna trek in Nepal which looks similar. I think the B&W photography works so well for it.

I haven’t hear about this place before. Looks really gorgeous, mountains are really amazing and they make me feel how small we people are and that we should have a lot of respect to the nature.
