The doors have a definite metamorphosis for me. Whenever, wherever i see a door closed or open it intrigues me. If it is closed, curiosity on what could be inside amuses me and if its open, it invites me to explore.
I, however, find closed door more intriguing and appealing. And best part is one finds doors everywhere, old monuments, grand monuments, new-age buildings, rural houses, temples, urban flats and in many forms collapsed gates, iron gates, wooden gates, plastic board gates, gothic gates, colorfully painted gates and many more species of doors.
They represent the sense of security and sense of deja-vu. They evoke the feeling of “been there and seen that.”
Door#3

A door from Red Fort from walled old city Delhi.
This door must have seen all – the loots, massacre, riots, glory of Moghuls, Nadir Shah’s loot of Delhi, Battles, Raping of royal women, 1957’s Mutiny, Famous Delhi Durbar of 1911, Britishers leaving India, Trials, Independence Day speech of indian Prime Ministers.
Still the frame looks so humble.
Door#2

It seems as if time hasn’t ticked in this village since ages. The innocence of the girl has made the frame much more intriguing.
Door#1

This door must have seen history unfolding before it. Its captured from Hauz Khas area on New Delhi.
Khilji Dynasty built it and it used to be a place of scholars.
